Welcome to the IBG Keller & Vrieze Wiki!

Welcome!

This wiki is new and we're testing out just how useful it is.

If you'd like to contribute just log in using your University of Colorado gmail email address and password. Then notify Scott that you'd like editing privileges. The more people contributing to the wiki the more useful it'll be.

We're Hiring Postdocs and Taking Grad Students!

We're currently accepting applications for postdoctoral fellows. Please contact Scott or Matt if you're interested.

Interested graduate students please apply through both the Behavioral Genetics and Clinical Psychology programs in the Psychology & Neuroscience Department.

Classes

Vrieze

PSYC 7102: Statistical-Genetics

PSYC 7693: Personality Measurement. Core PhD-level clinical psychology course designed to teach basic measurement and decision theory, as well as application of psychological tests like the MMPI and structured interviews like the SCID5.

PSYC 3112: Behavioral Genetics II. This course covers many concepts in behavioral genetics using an example-drive approach. We cover the history of BG, Mendelian diseases to illustrate basic gene/environment concepts, twin and adoption studies, and recent molecular approaches including whole genome sequencing and genome wide association analyses. It's an exciting time to be a behavioral geneticist!

Research Projects

GSCAN: The GWAS & Sequencing Consortium of Alcohol and Nicotine use is a collaboration between CU, Penn State, UMich, and MIT.

CoTwins: is a longitudinal study of adolescent twins using web-based and mobile tech assessment methods.

Genes for Good: An online genetic study of health and behavior. Join the study, visit our Facebook community page or follow us on Twitter @genesforgood.

DevCon: The "Developmental Consortium" is a budding longitudinal genetic association consortium effort.

Datasets

We're excited to use data provided by the UK Biobank. More information on how we're using these data is on our UK Biobank page.

Who are we?

We are a research group at the University of Colorado Boulder. Our research runs the gamut from genetic studies of behavior to the development of new assessments using wireless sensors such as those in your smartphone.
